Emma's Story
Emma’s journey reflects her deep-rooted passion for the natural world and her commitment to protecting it. She began her academic path studying Zoology, completing an industry year at the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth, UK, where she worked in both public-facing and animal-focused roles. Eager to broaden her understanding beyond individual species to entire ecosystems, Emma returned to Gibraltar to complete an MSc in Environmental Science and Climate Change.
During her Masters, a strong focus on sustainability and the built environment sparked her interest in applying environmental principles within the construction sector. Inspired by nature-based solutions and green infrastructure, she pursued a career where she could make a tangible difference - making Sustainabuild a natural and exciting fit . Today, as a Graduate Sustainability Consultant, Emma is passionate about developing the environmental side of the company and contributing wherever she can with her broad knowledge of ecology and sustainability.
Outside of work, Emma embraces any opportunity to connect with wildlife, from cage diving with Great White sharks to travelling the world in search of extraordinary animal encounters . She also loves to travel, read, and spend time with friends - whether over coffee, dinner, or drinks.
